HORIZON 2020 Week – 2018 was held in Minsk


On February 19-23, 2018 a cycle of information and training events dedicated to the launch of the H2020 Work Programme for 2018-2020 was held in Minsk between 20 and 26 February 2018 within the frame of HORIZON 2020 Week – 2018. It was organized by BelISA and supported by the EU project “Science, Technology and Innovation International Cooperation Network for Eastern Partnership Countries — Plus” (EaP PLUS) which aims to stimulate cooperation between researchers from the EaP countries and EU member states and enhance participation of the Eastern Partnership countries in Horizon 2020 Framework Programme. Targeted cooperation with scientific diaspora is considered to be one of the ways to reach this goal.

With over 300 participants in total, the Week included the following actions:

20 February: Infoday with a focus on “Industrial Leadership”, namely ICT, NMP, Space and SPIRE calls to improve resource and energy efficiency of the processing industry, as well on “Societal Challenges” pillar.

21 February: Maria Sklodowska-Curie Infoday and Training “Research and Innovation Stuff Exchange”.

22 February: NCP Training

26 February & 1 March: Training for young researchers “My first grant”

The success of the event will be hardly possible without active involvement of researchers – partners in the ongoing H2020 and completed projects from academic community and industry who shared their experience and provided some valuable advices to the participants of the Week.
